Common Questions
Where are downloaded files saved?
Files are saved to the output folder you choose in the app. You can open the folder from the app after a crawl finishes.
Why are some pages skipped?
Pages can be skipped because of crawl depth, domain scope, include or exclude rules, network failures, or robots.txt settings.
Can I download any website?
Only archive websites and content you are authorized to download. Some websites restrict automated crawling in their terms or robots.txt rules.
Does the app need an account?
No. WebVault Mirror runs locally on your Mac and does not require a WebVault Mirror account.
Before Contacting Support
- Confirm your Mac is online.
- Try a lower crawl depth for very large websites.
- Check whether the website blocks automated downloads.
- Review the app log for failed URLs or skipped resources.
